ABSOLUE SKIN'S ANSWERS TO ESSENTIAL RECURRING QUESTIONS

Working with skin is both interesting and rewarding because each person’s skin tells a unique story, and I have the opportunity to make a positive impact on it. Naturally, this often brings up many questions before, during, and after treatments, as clients seek to understand and care for their skin in the best way possible.

FAQ

Here, you’ll find answers to some of the most common queries from my clients. These questions cover essential topics to help you better understand our treatments, products, and services. If you don’t see the question you’re looking for, feel free to ask me during your skin consultation—I’ll be happy to help with the information you need!

If it’s your first time visiting, you should reserve a bit more time than the treatment itself, as a consultation may be required before starting the session.

You should be in good health, with no respiratory infections or active herpes. Please inform me of any allergies, skin sensitivities, or if you are pregnant.
Also, let me know about any health conditions such as epilepsy, diabetes, or other medical concerns.
Massages cannot be performed on active acne, severe rosacea, or open skin lesions.

For hydration and restoration, 1-2 facials may be enough, but for concerns like acne and rosacea, I typically recommend at least 4-6 sessions and a one-year period to see significant improvements. The number of sessions needed depends on your individual skin and concerns.

The number of chemical peel sessions needed to combat pigmentation depends on factors like the severity of pigmentation, skin type, and the type of peel used. Generally
Mild pigmentation (e.g., post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation): 3–4 sessions (light peels)
* Moderate pigmentation (e.g., sun damage, uneven tone): 4–6 sessions (medium-depth peels)
* Severe pigmentation (e.g., melasma, deep sunspots): 6+ sessions (stronger peels or a combination of treatments)
Sessions are typically spaced 2–4 weeks apart. Consistent sun protection is a key.

While rosacea cannot be completely cured, it can be managed and significantly improved. It’s important to understand that the longer the condition has been present, the more time it may take to see noticeable results. For visible improvements in your skin, consistent at-home skincare alongside treatments is essential.

Stronger peels are not recommended during pregnancy, as hormonal changes can make your skin react unpredictably. To avoid potential skin reactions, only mild exfoliation and soothing anti-inflammatory masks can be used.

To see significant improvements, aim for facials every 3-4 weeks. Treatments with resurfacing peels, microneedling, and vitamin C can enhance skin texture, promote cell turnover, and brighten spots for smoother, clearer skin.

It depends on the level of your rosacea. If you have an active, papulopustular form, it’s best to avoid face massages until the inflammation has reduced. In such cases, it’s better to wait until your skin calms down before proceeding with any treatments.

Light shedding can be expected, but it depends on the treatment strength and individual skin concerns. For advanced resurfacing treatments I use pHFormula’s active formulas, delivering effective results with no downtime or manageable recovery time, aswell as Noon Aesthetics’ advanced peels also provide smoother, radiant skin without downtime.

To prepare for microneedling and peels, it’s important to avoid active skincare ingredients such as alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs), and retinoids for at least 3-5 days before your treatment. Additionally, if you’ve had more invasive treatments or injections, please wait 2-3 weeks before scheduling your microneedling or peel. This helps ensure your skin is in optimal condition for the best results.

Kobido massages are like a workout for your skin. You may start seeing results after 3 to 5 sessions, but for more significant and lasting improvements, a “training program” of 10 to 15 sessions is ideal. Just like with sports, regular maintenance sessions will keep your skin in top shape.

After microneedling, you can expect some redness, mild swelling, and sensitivity, similar to a mild sunburn. These effects usually subside within 24-48 hours. Your skin may feel tight, dry, or slightly rough for a few days as it heals. Some people experience light peeling or flaking.
Within a week, your skin will start to look more radiant, and over the next few weeks, collagen production increases, improving texture and firmness. Full results, including reduced fine lines, scars, and pigmentation, become more noticeable after multiple sessions.
It’s essential to follow post-care instructions, including avoiding sun exposure, using gentle skincare products, and keeping your skin hydrated.

If you still have active acne, the inflammation must be treated first before addressing the scarring. Microneedling cannot be performed on skin with active inflammation, as it could worsen the condition. Once the acne is under control, treatment for scarring can begin.

The number of acne treatments required depends on the severity of the acne and your individual skin. For acne, a combination of treatments like peels is used, and the number of sessions can vary. Typically, a minimum of 4 -6 sessions is recommended, but the exact number will be tailored to your specific needs.

Facials can’t prevent aging, but they can help smooth out its effects. Regular facials promote healthy skin, stimulate collagen production, and improve skin texture, which can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Consistent treatments, along with a solid skincare routine, can help maintain a youthful complexion.
